2025 Wassailing Parade Recap

This past Sunday, December 7, Downtown Metamora came alive with one of our favorite traditions of the season—the annual Wassailing Parade. It’s a celebration that brings together neighbors, families, horses, hounds, and holiday spirit, and this year’s parade was no exception.

We were thrilled to welcome Jacob Hawkins Photography, who captured the afternoon beautifully. From the riders and carriages to the small-town seasonal charm that makes this event so special, his images highlight everything we love about the spirit of Metamora.

After the parade, Santa stopped by Metamora General, and the store quickly filled with families eager to meet jolly old St. Nick. It was a packed house—from little ones sharing their wish lists to parents soaking in the festive atmosphere.

Below, you’ll find a gallery featuring a selection of Jacob’s photos from the parade. We’re grateful to everyone who bundled up, came out, and helped make the day feel truly festive in the heart of our village.

Thank you for celebrating the season with us—and for supporting the traditions that continue to make Metamora such a remarkable place.
