A nostalgic piece of Western film history, this vintage poster for Marshal of Cripple Creek (1947) starring Allan “Rocky” Lane as Red Ryder captures the bold, action-packed spirit of the post-war cowboy era.

Lane was know for his roles in Westerns and later as the voice of Mr. Ed, The Talking Horse. Lane’s family moved to Grand Rapids, Michigan and he was known for his horsemanship. He passed away in 1973.
